Why we started
A good laptop shouldn't cost a month's salary. Every year, companies across India replace thousands of well-built business laptops that still have years of useful life left. At the same time, students, freelancers and small businesses struggle to find an affordable laptop they can trust.
Buying second-hand has always been the obvious answer — but it has also been a gamble. Listings say "good condition" without explaining what that means. Batteries are a mystery. Warranties are rare. RenewByte exists to take the gamble out of buying a refurbished laptop.
What we do
We source business-grade and premium laptops, then put every one through the same documented process before it is listed:
- Inspection and full hardware diagnostics — processor, memory, storage, display, keyboard, ports, audio, camera and wireless.
- Secure data erasure and a clean, genuine operating system installation.
- Cleaning, repair and part replacement where needed.
- Battery health measurement, recorded and shown on the listing.
- Cosmetic grading against published standards, checked by a second technician.

What we believe
Honesty over hype
Every product page tells you the condition grade, the measured battery health, what's included and the warranty period. If a laptop has a notable mark or a replaced part, we say so. We would rather lose a sale than have a customer feel misled.
Quality over quantity
We don't list a laptop until it passes every test. Laptops that don't meet our standards are repaired, used for parts or responsibly recycled.
Support that stays after the sale
Real people answer the phone, WhatsApp and email. If something goes wrong within the warranty period, we fix it. Read our warranty policy and returns policy for the details.
Less waste
Every refurbished laptop is one less device heading for disposal and one less new laptop that needs to be manufactured. Extending the life of electronics is one of the simplest ways to reduce e-waste.
