How we refurbish every laptop
Refurbished should mean more than "used". Every laptop we sell goes through the same documented nine-step process before it is listed — and we tell you exactly what we found.

Step 1: Device inspection
We log the serial number and configuration, and check the body, screen, hinges and ports for physical damage.

Step 2: Hardware testing
Diagnostics exercise the processor, memory, storage, display, keyboard, trackpad, audio, webcam, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and every port.

Step 3: Data erasure
Storage is securely wiped so no previous owner's data remains, and a clean, genuine operating system is installed.

Step 4: Cleaning
The chassis, keyboard and screen are cleaned and sanitised; vents and fans are cleared of dust.

Step 5: Repair & replacement
Faulty or worn parts — keyboards, batteries, chargers, screens — are repaired or replaced where needed.

Step 6: Quality testing
After repairs, the laptop is stress-tested and battery health is measured and recorded for the listing.

Step 7: Final inspection
A second technician checks the work and assigns the cosmetic grade (A+, A, B or C) against our published standards.

Step 8: Packaging
Packed with protective padding and a compatible charger, plus anything else listed under "What's included".

Step 9: Shipping
Dispatched with an insured courier and a tracking number so you can follow it to your door.
